Meet Me
Kennedy Sammons started working at Community Counseling Services in 2020 as a Prevention Specialist. Kennedy works regularly in the Huron, Iroquois, and Wolsey school districts to help develop a Prevention Program. Kennedy continues to extend the Prevention Program each year that teaches students to increase their protective factors and to make good decisions regarding substance use.
Why I choose CCS
“I have always wanted to help others and serve in my community, especially in an area where I have had personal victory. I can take what I have learned and what I am still learning and teach others. I love the support that I receive from my co-workers and upper management. My position is very unique, so to have others learning alongside me really helped me catch a vision and reach my goals. I swore I would never return to Huron after I finished college. I had plans to move to a big city and “start fresh”, but God used COVID to bring me back to my roots and placed passion within me for Huron and Prevention. I am now closer to my family and get to watch my younger brothers grow up and build my life!”
